The ControLite Washlight HP Squarcle is a multifunctional Fresnel spotlight that comes in a black powder-coated aluminum-sheet housing. The fixture is supplied with a 575W HMI lamp (color temperature 6000°K) that has exceptional light output due to the coated elliptical glass reflector. Replacing the lamp is simple thanks to the two quarter-turn locks that, once loosened, allow the fixture's lamp mount to be pulled out, making the lamp freely accessible. When the fixture requires service, all essential components are easy to reach, as all housing coverings are equipped with 4 quarter-turn locks, meaning there are no screws that can fall out and get lost. The extremely compact spotlight base features DMX 512 control signal input and output (XLR 5-pin version) and power-supply cable. A safety wire can be attached via M12 bolt mounting clamps located at the 6 through-holes. The spotlight is integrated into a motorized yoke. Its two powerful servo motors provide movement of 340° pan and 270° tilt with 16-bit resolution. Electronics for the driver motors are contained within the yoke, which also features an externally accessible control panel for setting the DMX address and test functions plus LED controls. The LED controls indicate the status of the DMX signal, the servo and stepper motors, and the lamp. The Washlight HP has a motorized 200mm Fresnel lens that provides a dipless beam angle of 7° to 28°. The fixture is equipped with CMY color mixing. Dichroic filter roundels whose saturation can be increased allow the entire color spectrum to be produced in extremely uniform quality. The fixture's name, "Squarcle", is a combination of "square" and "circle", and describes the luminaire's ability to form a square out of a round beam of light through its integrated barndoor effect. The beam of light can be shaped via 4 flaps, each of which can be controlled independently of the others. In addition, the Washlight HP's barndoor module can be rotated 180°, thus allowing for optimal presentation of classic barndoor effects. Also located within the luminaire body are a mechanical dimmer and a linear CTO filter for use between 6000°K and 2900°K. The CTO filter can be exchanged for a color wheel with fixed colors if desired. The luminaire features an integrated electronic ballast and hot restrike of the lamp. All functions are controlled via 16 DMX512 channels. The fixture is very compact and weighs only 25 kg.
