Maritim Hotel Heringsdorf in a new light

The Maritim Hotel in Heringsdorf on the Baltic Sea island of Usedom has new architectural lighting, thanks to 36 Martin Inground 200 spotlights which were supplied and installed by Amptown Lichttechnik.

Each of the 12 columns (interior and exterior) are illuminated by three Inground 200s, highlighting them in a colorful ambience. The spotlights were installed in special containers below and level with the ground which allows one to walk over them. Each Inground 200 can be individually controlled, creating innumerable color gradients and dynamic mood lighting. Control of the 32 lighting programs is fully automatic via DMX recorder that is activated by a twilight switch and deactivated by a timer.

The Inground 200 spotlight series features high light output, 0 - 100% dimming over the entire spectrum, even light and color distribution as well as low surface temperature.

Klimahaus® Bremerhaven 8° Ost

Talk about big! The German city of Bremerhaven has built a unique world of knowledge and adventure that aims to contribute to a better understanding of the world's climate.

Klimahaus® (Climate House), which broke ground in April 2005 and officially opened on 27 June 2009, represents five separate continents, nine different locations -- all in one incredible construction.

Amptown was awarded the contract for complete sound, multimedia, and lighting equipment of the various exhibits and installations.

In November 2008, Amptown Lichttechnik's technicians began installing hundreds of metres of bus bars, light strips, and a multitude of spotlights. In addition, thousands of other light sources such as LED, low-voltage, and discharge spots were installed. Mobile truss systems as well as gobo and effects projectors in the various theme worlds also do their part to make this a truly enlightening experience.

Martin MAC 700 Profile

As part of its modernization efforts, Europe's largest varieté theater, Friedrichstadtspalast in Berlin, purchased a number of Martin Professional lights from Amptown Lichttechnik. The invitation to tender called for "moving-head profile spotlights with complete gobo animation system, animation wheel for morphing effects as well as an extremely high-speed, comprehensive CMY color-mixing unit." And the winner was: Martin MAC 700 Profile spotlights.

Pure, unadulterated show entertainment -- that's what up to 1,895 guests are treated to every night in Europe's largest variety-show palace. Friedrichstadtpalast's unmistakable style is characterized by an ingenious combination of traditional varieté elements with the latest high-tech effects. The current production "Qi -- A Palace Fantasy" boasts the world's largest moving natural-ice surface, and enormous LED reels provide a veritable firework display of lighting. In addition, over 1200 spotlights as well as ten big-screen video projectors and 150 moving lights showcase the ensemble and solo artists in a riot of color.

AIDA Fleet - Amptown ControLite dimmers on board

Amptown Lichttechnik fitted the luxury cruise ships AIDA Cara, Vita, Aura, Diva, Bella, and Luna with their complete event lighting equipment. Construction of the brand new AIDAblu has been completed and the ship's christening took place on 9 February 2010 in the Port of Hamburg. The fleet's owners place a premium on outstanding shows and entertainment, employing the proved and tested products from Martin Professional, James Thomas Engineering, Smoke Factory, and Strand as well as MA Lighting consoles and, last but not least, Amptown ControLite dimmer technology.
